Should we lift-and-shift or refactor to cloud-native?
Depends on what is failing today. If on-prem is just expensive, lift-and-shift to AWS/Azure/GCP saves 30–50% on infra and runs in 6–10 weeks. If your bottleneck is scaling, deployment speed, or reliability, refactoring to containers + managed services is worth the 4–8 month investment. We map every workload on a 2×2 (cost vs strategic value) and migrate in tranches — never big-bang.
Will we have downtime during the migration?
No — every migration we run is zero-downtime by design. We use database replication (DMS, GoldenGate), blue-green DNS cutovers, and staged traffic shifting so production traffic moves to the cloud invisibly. We rehearse the full cutover 2–3 times on staging before any production move.
Which cloud should we use?
We are vendor-neutral. AWS for breadth and ecosystem, Azure for Microsoft-heavy estates and enterprise compliance, GCP for data/ML workloads and Kubernetes-native shops. We have shipped on all three and will give you an honest recommendation based on your existing skills, contracts, and roadmap — not on what gives us the biggest partner kickback.
How much will we save by moving to the cloud?
Typical clients see 25–45% TCO reduction within 12 months of migration. But cloud done badly can cost more than on-prem. We bake FinOps into every migration — reserved instances, auto-scaling, S3 lifecycle policies, idle resource cleanup — so the savings actually materialise and stay materialised.
